Key Takeaways

The Jordan Triangle prioritizes protection, traction, and stability over a court-like feel. Its design is particularly well-suited for players who primarily use the forefoot and are looking for a more structured shoe.

Key Points

Very aggressive traction. The sole grips the hardwood floor immediately and produces a very distinct squeak. As is often the case with this type of rubber, it tends to attract a small amount of dust. Its exceptional grip can also cause the shoe to lose traction more abruptly on dirty surfaces when applying heavy pressure.

Protective platform

The cushioning remains relatively firm despite the highly compressible foam. The rigid Strobel construction filters out sensations underfoot, and the sturdy design prioritizes stability and impact protection over a springy, trampoline-like feel.

Loose fit

Expect a real break-in period. The fit offers plenty of room around the heel. Players with narrow feet may experience slight heel slippage, while those with wider feet or players wearing ankle braces should appreciate this design more.

Target Profile

Recommended for players looking for:

  • impact protection
  • aggressive driving
  • robustness
  • dominant forefoot
  • standard to wide feet
  • For use with an ankle brace

The Expert's Opinion

"The Jordan Triangle's strength lies in its construction: encapsulated high-rebound cushioning for stability, a versatile mid-top design, well-thought-out reinforcement and support elements, and truly high-quality craftsmanship. However, what could have been a ‘Kyrie-esque’ shoe won’t be for everyone due to its relatively high sol narrow heel."

More details :

The Jordan Triangle features several cutting-edge technologies: ZoomX foam in the forefoot and an Air Zoom unit in the heel for explosive cushioning and a soft landing. With enhanced traction and support, it’s the perfect combination for quick reactions and all-game comfort.

Jordan sets the bar high for on-court performance with the Triangle. A new basketball shoe that delivers explosive energy return, long-lasting comfort, and optimal support.

This new low-cut design is made for basketball fans who want to perform better, no matter their position or skill level. It’s packed with innovations designed to meet today’s demands and the realities of the court. It helps you react faster and stay at your best for longer during the game.

The Triangle is inspired by the play of legendary athletes. Its name refers to the famous triangle offense: just like this strategy, which relies on off-ball movement, the Triangle is designed to help athletes excel in any situation.

Its design prioritizes energy return to enhance movement and endurance. The Triangle features two Zoom innovations from NIKE, Inc.: ZoomX foam in the forefoot and an Air Zoom unit in the heel. This dual-cushioning system provides optimal support during the most explosive movements, while offering the stability and protection needed for a smooth landing.

“Today, athletes spend more time on the court, especially the new generation. We knew we had to take that into account when we designed this new silhouette. That’s why we pushed energy return to the limit,” explains Leo Chang, Jordan Senior Creative Director, Basketball & Sport. “With its ZoomX and Air Zoom innovations, the Triangle blows the competition out of the water in the high-performance basketball shoe market. This unique combination delivers exceptional results on the court, both on offense and defense.”

Its streamlined design and low-profile cut bring athletes closer to the court for an intuitive feel and heightened sensations. In addition to Zoom innovations, the Triangle also features Cushlon 3.0 cushioning for an ultra-dynamic feel underfoot that’s both flexible and responsive.

Finally, an injection-molded shank enhances stability in the midfoot. All of these features enhance athletes’ performance. They provide excellent balance and optimal support during cuts and changes of direction, enabling dynamic play on both sides of the court.

“I fell in love with the Triangle the moment I got to test it on the court,” says Cameron Boozer, a member of the Jordan Family. “In addition to comfort and support, it gives me a real boost on both offense and defense. I feel like it enhances my game and gives me an edge on the court.”

The Triangle's woven upper, inspired by carbon fiber, offers athletes unmatched breathability, power, and stability. These ventilation features are essential for the Triangle to fulfill one of its key missions: keeping athletes cool from the start to the end of the game.

Traction is no exception. The herringbone outsole is made of Hart 2.0 rubber, a staple of Jordan basketball shoes. It’s yet another advantage to help you dominate the game in any situation.

“As an athlete, you can tell right away that the Triangle was designed with us in mind, down to the smallest detail. The new cushioning is a real game-changer and makes this model super responsive,” explains Sarah Strong, a member of the Jordan Family. “The shoe feels like an extension of myself and my game.”

Developed based on detailed feedback from athletes, the Triangle was not designed by chance. Every aspect of its design reflects this pursuit of greatness and pays tribute to the legends of the sport.
