A dream come true

Rookicks, content creator and basketball shoe expert, has designed its signature color after years of joint projects with PUMA.

This is the first product collaboration between a basketball influencer and an equipment manufacturer.

Product history 

Rookicks was inspired by the mentality of his favorite athletes: Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant (mentality) and Lamelo Ball (creativity).

And his favorite products: Puma MB01 (design), Nike PG 4 (comfort) , Nike Kobe 6 (design & performance) , Adidas Harden vol 4 (premium).

All these products have one thing in common: quality of design and attention to detail.

Rookicks shares his vision of a pair offering premium treatment, taking up key aspects of his career and his favorite inspirations and products.

The 4D print on the pair refers to the chameleon, representing its ability to adapt between different environments and spaces in its life, with a nod to the scales used on the Kobe 6.

The embroidered tongue underlines the premium feel and attention to detail of the pair's design. 

The translucent sole features the Humble & Hungry motif that has become the Rookicks motto, long used on Kyrie Irving products.

And last but not least, the interchangeable Velcro fastening at the back lets you customize your pair to suit your individual needs.

Features and benefits

The Puma All Pro NITRO basketball shoe combines NITRO™ cushioning technology with a mesh upper , to create a versatile, but above all very comfortable basketball shoe that will keep you performing on the floor.

The translucent sole has been chosen to give you the best grip, especially when changing direction on the ground, and to provide excellent grip, as consumer feedback on solid soles was less good.

Advantages:

Areas for improvement:

• Maintenance is not an elite product
• The outsole must be cleaned frequently for consistent grip.

Recommended use:

• On wooden floors or in a multi-sports hall
• If used as a playground, keep it for outdoor play
• Mixed use (room + bitumen) will reduce product performance

Interviews:

• Hand-washing remains the best option, especially for maintaining grip after several months.
